Growth in AI-Ready Talent in India

India has witnessed a 33% growth in hiring for AI-ready talent, as highlighted by Union Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. This announcement was made during the Rajasthan Region AI Impact Summit, which Vaishnaw addressed virtually.

AI Architecture Development

The government is actively working with the industry to ensure advancement across all five layers of the AI architecture, which includes:

  • Application Layer
  • Large and Small Language Model Layer
  • Semiconductor Chips and Data Centre Layers
  • Energy Supply Layer

AI Skill Development Program

To promote AI development and application for citizen benefits, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has launched a program to train 1,000,000 young people in AI skills over the next year.

India’s AI Mission

Union Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology Jitin Prasada stated that India’s AI Mission is dedicated to introducing substantial changes in:

  • Healthcare
  • Agriculture
  • Education

Rajasthan’s AI/ML Policy 2026

The Rajasthan government has unveiled its Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Policy 2026. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma emphasized the expansion of AI use in the educational sector, asserting that AI is a key tool for human progress.

Rajasthan Regional AI Impact Summit

This summit is a precursor to the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, scheduled for February 19 and 20. It aims to highlight the progress in indigenous large language models under the IndiaAI Mission.
