- Open Defecation Free (ODF) Status:
- India achieved 100% ODF status across districts by 2019-20.
- Gender-Sensitive School Sanitation:
- 97.2% of schools had gender-segregated toilets by 2023-24, linking infrastructure improvements with equity and girls' education.
- Waste Recycling Infrastructure:
- Expanded to 3,036 facilities in 2024-25, up from 829 in 2019-20, indicating a transition towards sustainable consumption and production.

- The Gini coefficient for rural areas dropped to 0.237 in 2023-24 from 0.283 in 2011-12.
