NPCI's Contributions to Blockchain and Tokenisation
- Previous Contributions: Drunix is NPCI's second significant open-source contribution following Falcon, which focused on blockchain network management and orchestration.
- Other Initiatives: NPCI has also introduced initiatives like the Finance Model for India (FiMI) and Vigil-AI.
Future Plans of NPCI
Beyond digital payments, NPCI is planning to enhance India's digital infrastructure by establishing a fourth subsidiary, NPCI Tech Solutions Ltd (NTSL). This move is intended to expand central infrastructure capabilities and explore new pilot projects.
Focus Areas for Expansion
- Infrastructure-led products beyond payments, such as eKYC Setu.
- Systems related to central bank digital currency.
