Infiltration Bid Foiled in Jammu and Kashmir

The Border Security Force (BSF) successfully thwarted an infiltration attempt near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Pargwal sector of Jammu and Kashmir, capturing a militant with arms and ammunition.

  • Infiltrator Detained: Abdul Khaliq from Rajouri district’s Darhal area, associated with Jaish-e-Mohammad.
  • Arms Seized: An MP5 rifle, a magazine, 10 bullets, and an empty drum magazine were confiscated.
  • Background: Khaliq had previously crossed into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir in 2021.
