Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla has been awarded the Ashoka Chakra, India's highest peacetime gallantry award, for his mission to the International Space Station (ISS).

    • 13 Shaurya Chakras (1 posthumous)
    • 1 Bar to Sena Medal (Gallantry)
    • 44 Sena Medals (Gallantry) (5 posthumous)
    • 6 Nao Sena Medals (Gallantry)
    • 2 Vayu Sena Medals (Gallantry)

  • Group Captain Shukla's mission to the ISS was part of the Axiom-4 mission in June last year.

    • IAF officer and astronaut Group Captain Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair
