About Human Papillomavirus (HPV)

Cervical Cancer

A type of cancer that occurs in the cervix, the lower, narrow part of the uterus that connects to the vagina. HPV infection is the primary cause of cervical cancer.

Human Papillomavirus (HPV)

A common group of viruses. Certain types of HPV can cause warts on different parts of the body, while others can cause cancers, including cervical cancer. Vaccination against HPV is a key preventive measure.

Quadrivalent vaccine

A vaccine that stimulates an immune response against four different antigens, typically four different viruses or other microorganisms. In the context of HPV, it targets four specific strains of the virus.
