• Joint Declaration on Economic Security: Includes key sectors like semiconductors, critical minerals, information and communication technology, including AI, clean energy etc.
• Next Generation Mobility Partnership Framework: Accelerate investment in mobility sectors including rail, automotive and road infrastructure, aviation, etc.
• Biogas Initiative: Supports the establishment of 1,000 biogas and organic fertilizer plants in India. 
• First India-Japan defence co-development project: Naval Radio Antenna project 
• Other cooperation areas: Pharma through Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), internet registry operations, geology and mineral exploration, etc.

Significance of India–Japan Relations

• Infrastructural development: E.g., Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail (MAHSR) project, which is being implemented with Japanese technical and financial assistance.
• Foreign Investment: Japan is the fifth-largest source of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into India and accounts for 6% of total FDI into India.
• Economic relations: E.g., India- Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) came into effect from 2011.
• Strategic Alignment: E.g., both countries are part of QUAD Initiative
• Space Exploration: ISRO and Japan's space agency, JAXA, are collaborating on the Lunar Polar Exploration Mission.
